Senior CDM and H&S Consultant

Overview

In this role you will deliver CDM and H&S consultancy from the Sheffield office, tailoring solutions to client needs. You will develop and improve existing CDM/H&S processes, act as Principal Designer when needed, and ensure legal responsibilities are met. You will build trusted client relationships and manage commissions to align with Turner & Townsend’s service standards. You will conduct H&S reviews and coordinate with internal teams to maintain quality and profitability. This is a hands-on, client-facing opportunity to influence safety outcomes across diverse sectors.

Responsibilities

• Deliver CDM and H&S consultancy services and act as Principal Designer when required
• Understand client needs and propose solutions to achieve service excellence
• Improve existing systems and processes for CDM and H&S efficiency
• Manage client relationships and represent the firm professionally
• Oversee commissions to meet client scope and internal management standards
• Conduct H&S performance reviews and audits on behalf of the client
• Coordinate with SHQ and other Turner & Townsend colleagues to ensure team effectiveness
• Prepare pre-construction information and relevant H&S files

Key requirements

• NEBOSH Construction Certificate
• Full UK driving licence
• NEBOSH Diploma Level (or equivalent)
• GradIOSH or equivalent
• Membership of the APS
• Experience as a Principal Designer
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to plan and organise workload to meet deadlines
• Extensive knowledge of CDM Regulations and Construction Industry experience
• Experience across a diverse range of industry sectors is advantageous
