Mechanical Project Manager

Overview

In this role you will manage the mechanical package across multiple CAT A & B fit out projects, coordinating internal engineers and external subcontractors to deliver on time and to high standards. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to align design, procurement, and commissioning, driving projects from design through handover. You’ll operate in a practical, collaborative environment that values ownership and safe delivery. This is a hands-on leadership position with a clear impact on project outcomes and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full mechanical package across multiple live fit out projects
• Plan and coordinate mechanical works from design development through to completion
• Lead internal engineers and external mechanical subcontractors
• Produce and manage project programmes using Microsoft Project
• Coordinate mechanical services with other building elements and resolve clashes
• Manage procurement and subcontractor orders
• Monitor progress, costs and variations
• Attend progress meetings and collaborate with the wider project team
• Oversee commissioning, snagging and handover of mechanical works
• Ensure safe delivery of mechanical works to programme and standard

Key requirements

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager in commercial or industrial projects
• Mechanical Engineer by trade or degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Strong understanding of mechanical installation, coordination and commissioning
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• CSCS card, SMSTS, Full UK driving licence
