Overview

In this Design Manager role with a long-established Surrey main contractor, you will lead design coordination on new build and refurbishment schemes up to £15m, across residential, education, healthcare, and commercial sectors. You will provide technical guidance within a main contracting environment and drive autonomous project delivery from early design through to construction. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, deliverable design solutions. This role offers a stable, reputable platform to shape projects and impact outcomes.

Pay / Benefits

• salary 60,000 – 65,000
• plus package

Responsibilities

• Lead design coordination and provide technical guidance in a main contracting environment
• Manage both new build and refurbishment projects
• Work across multiple sectors (Residential, Education, Healthcare, Commercial)
• Deliver design solutions for projects up to £15m
• Operate autonomously to drive design through to construction

Key requirements

• Experience in a Main Contracting environment
• New build and refurbishment experience
• Track record across Residential, Education, Healthcare, Commercial sectors
• Experience on projects up to £15m
• Must be able to commute to Coulsdon, Surrey daily
