Initially based from our Bishop’s Stortford office, you’ll join a structured training programme before progressing into a hybrid role with regular time spent in London.
The Opportunity
This is a sales role with purpose.
From day one, you’ll receive hands‑on training and mentoring from experienced recruitment professionals, developing the commercial skills to build your own market, generate new business and become a trusted adviser to clients and candidates.
You’ll learn how to:
- Build relationships with senior executives across the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
- Generate new business opportunities and develop your own client portfolio.
- Interview, network and represent the Allerton Bishop brand in a highly professional market.
- Manage executive search assignments from initial brief through to successful placement.
- Become a recognised specialist within one of the world’s most innovative industries.

Who We’re Looking For
We’re interested in attitude, ambition and potential – previous recruitment experience is advantageous but not essential.
This role would suit someone with experience in:
- Business development – Outbound, B2B or B2C, Automotive
You’ll also bring:
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Confidence speaking with people over the phone and in person.
- A competitive mindset and desire to achieve. A sporting background is desirable.
- Resilience, determination and a strong work ethic.
- Curiosity, coachability and a willingness to learn.
- A genuine ambition to build a successful career.
