Graduate Internal Sales Engineer

Leeds area

We seek a minimum HNC qualified Electronics, Control systems or Automation Engineer with ideally some relevant work placement experience to join a growing organisation in the Leeds area. A second language in particular German or French would also be of great interest.

Responsibilities

• Liaising with existing customers on a day to day basis regarding orders, post sales enquiries & issues
• Providing comprehensive technical support by phone, email and face to face when necessary
• Building up and managing excellent customer relationships with distributors and end users
• Up selling and cross selling where possible
• Researching and cold calling new and potential customers
• Providing quotations, producing BOM’s and purchasing from existing suppliers
• Working with internal development teams and external manufacturers to ensure client specifications are met

Person specification

• A confident engineer with excellent communication skills happy to take on a sales role
• Hold a relevant Electronics, control systems or automation qualification minimum HNC
• Have excellent communication and persuasive skills
• Have confident administration and organisational skills
• Be a good problem solver
• Ideally have worked in a sales or customer support role
• Hold a full UK driving licence

Desirable

• A second language in particular German
• Experience in ATEX environments, beneficial but not essential
• Knowledge of materials handling or special purpose machinery
• Experience with sensors and instrumentation
