Xpert Resourcing are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver on behalf of a well-established business based near Newmarket. Duties will include:
Carry out multi-drop deliveries across the UK
Transport heavy goods safely and securely
Complete daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects
Ensure all loads are correctly secured before departure
Comply with all road traffic legislation, Driver Hours and Tachograph regulations
Follow planned delivery schedules and communicate any delays
Assist with the safe loading and unloading of materials where required
Complete delivery paperwork accurately
Deliver a high standard of customer service at all delivery locations
Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and procedures
Maintain the cleanliness and roadworthiness of the vehicle
Skills/Experience
Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
Driver CPC Qualification
Digital Tachograph Card
Previous Class 1 driving experience
Experience with multi-drop deliveries
Experience transporting heavy or awkward loads would be advantageous
Forklift experience would be beneficial but is not essential
Good communication and customer service skills
Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach
Strong attention to detail
Hours of work:
Monday to Friday
Start time from 6:00am depending on delivery schedules
Benefits:
Salary of 36,775 per annum
Overtime paid at time and a half
