We are looking for someone organised, proactive and confident in working with a range of stakeholders to ensure cases are progressed efficiently, compliantly and with a strong focus on service improvement.
What’s the role?
You will support the effective management of housing disrepair cases, working with surveyors, legal teams, contractors and residents to ensure claims are progressed efficiently and in line with legal and regulatory requirements. You will help coordinate inspections, monitor repair works, maintain accurate case records and support the Council’s wider aim of improving housing standards and resident outcomes.
What’s in it for you?
Excellent training and development opportunities, plus a range of benefits including:
- Local Government Pension scheme

What we’re looking for
You will be organised, detail-focused and confident managing competing priorities in a busy disrepair service. You will be able to work independently, using sound judgement to progress cases, resolve issues and know when to escape. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will work with residents, surveyors, contractors, legal representatives and internal teams. Accuracy, clear record keeping and a proactive approach will be key to supporting positive outcomes for residents
- Experience/Knowledge of managing complex legal or disrepair casework
- Knowledge of legal disclosure, FOI and Subject Access request requirements
- Strong Stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work to strict court, protocol and statutory deadlines
- Confidence liaising with legal professionals and representing the organisation in formal proceedings
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation and record keeping
Location
The job is primarily based in Laurence House, but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.
