At Johnson Matthey, your work will matter. As the Head of Business Planning and Performance, you’ll join a world leader in platinum group metals with over 200 years of history. Using advanced metals chemistry, you’ll help tackle the world’s biggest challenges – cutting emissions, powering modern life and supporting life-saving technologies – by applying, refining and recycling metals that matter for a healthier, more sustainable, circular future.
Responsibilities
- Lead the integrated business planning framework, aligning strategic planning, S&OP, budgeting and forecasting processes
- Act as the Finance lead for S&OP and capital expenditure, ensuring alignment between financial plans and operational delivery
- Partner with CAS to provide financial insight, challenge and support for strategic initiatives
- Coordinate finance input into executive materials and ensure clear, consistent financial messaging for leadership and investor audiences
- Drive cross-functional alignment across Finance, Procurement and Capital Projects to ensure robust planning, governance and performance tracking
- Provide data-led insights to senior stakeholders to support decision-making, risk visibility and performance improvement
Key qualifications
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Significant experience within a finance function in a large, complex organisation
- Strong knowledge of financial planning, performance analysis and integrated business planning processes
- Proven ability to influence and build relationships across senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate financial information into clear insights
- Strategic mindset with ability to balance long-term planning and detailed analysis
