PPT Driver Temp To Perm

Great opportunity to work as a PPT Driver for a leading company in the fruit and vegetable industry, packing and supplying fresh produce across the UK. Staffline is seeking Powered Pallet Truck Drivers to join their team in Peterborough.

This is a temp-to-perm position. You must be willing to take on a permanent contract after 12 weeks. The rates of pay are: Days – £13.40 per hour; Overtime – £16.75 per hour after 48 hours.

Shift pattern: 4 on, 4 off. Shift times: 05:45 am to 18:15 pm. Due to the early start time, candidates should have their own vehicle or reliable transport to ensure a calm and punctual start to the day, as public services may not yet be running at that hour.

Responsibilities

• Help unload and load lorries
• Bring the stock to the production lines
• Move completed stock from production lines to the dispatch area
• Perform some heavy lifting where required

Qualifications

• Valid PPT license, or relevant in‑house training and experience if a formal license is not held
• Ability to read and communicate in English and basic maths skills for assessment during registration
• Comfortable working on feet throughout the shift and good physical fitness; able to lift up to 20 kg
• Previous experience in a similar role is essential
