Transport Operator

Transport Operator – Northampton – Up to £34,000

Our client, a recognized transport company, is looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join their team in Northampton.

As a Transport Planner, you will be experienced in dealing with general haulage and routing company-owned vehicles UK-wide.

Job type: Permanent

Hours: 4 on, 4 off – DaysSalary: Up to £34,000

The Role:

• Routing company owned vehicles
• Plan routes as cost effectively as possible
• Plan routes in line with WTD and Driver Hours
• Ensure all customers are kept up to date
• Complete all necessary admin
• Work with the Manager to ensure that all vehicles are in compliance with company standards
• Perform and correctly implement General Administration, e.g., costing, agreeing charge rates with contractors, queries in accordance with the company’s requirements

The Requirements:

• Extensive transport route planning skills for a UK-based transport company
• General haulage experience
• Excellent geographical knowledge
• Strong communication skills
