About the Role

Working in a specialist industrial recycling environment. This role requires physical stamina and strict adherence to safety protocols. The successful candidate will operate a loading shovel to move and load recycled materials, ensuring the production process continues efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a loading shovel to move and transport materials around the site.
• Feed recycled materials into the breaker hopper to sustain production.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report defects.
• Work safely around heavy plant, machinery, and production operatives.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and follow all health and safety procedures.
• Support the wider production team where required.

Shift Pattern & Pay

• Continental 4 on / 4 off rotation.
• Day shifts: 06:00 – 18:00 (2 days).
• Night shifts: 18:00 – 06:00 (2 days).
• Four days off after each set of four days.
• Pattern repeats for seven rotations, followed by an 18‑day rostered break.

£20.37 per hour (£16.00 basic + £4.37 shift premium).

Qualifications

• A valid Loading Shovel licence.
• Previous loading shovel operating experience.
• Completion of a blood test and regular occupational health monitoring.

All PPE and laundry facilities are provided on site. Two 1‑hour breaks per shift, with showers and PPE changes available during each break.
