We’re recruiting for a Chef to join a friendly contract catering team in Plymouth, working within a busy office building. This role is being recruited on a 12-week temp-to-perm basis, giving you the opportunity to secure a permanent position after a successful temporary period. You’ll be working in a well-organised environment, delivering fresh buffet-style breakfasts and lunches to around 40 customers each day.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving buffet-style breakfast and lunch
• Managing the day-to-day running of the kitchen
• Providing excellent customer service when serving food
• Operating the till when required
• Maintaining high food hygiene and health & safety standards
• Managing stock and keeping the kitchen clean and organised

What we’re looking for

• Previous Chef experience
• Ideally worked within a contract catering environment
• Confidence working independently and managing a small operation
• Good customer service skills and a positive attitude
• Knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety standards
