Flexible School Cover Supervisor — Classroom Support

About the role:

Justteachers are recruiting for enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors and Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of primary and secondary schools in Bradford.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals seeking flexible working arrangements, whether you are an experienced educator, a recent graduate considering a career in teaching, or someone with transferrable skills looking to make a difference in schools.

You will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience across multiple school settings, develop classroom management skills, and build strong relationships within local education communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise whole classes during teacher absences
• Ensure a safe, positive, and productive learning environment
• Support individual students or small groups with their learning
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Assist with preparation of learning materials and classroom setup
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
• Build positive relationships with students and school staff

Pre-requisites:

• Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based or similar setting preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Confident classroom presence and ability to manage behaviour
• Flexible and adaptable approach to working in different schools
• A genuine passion for education and supporting student development
• Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
